New Version of Sage 50 Construction Available

June 14, 2010

The latest release of Sage 50 Construction has now been around for a few months and the uptake has been overwhelming. As a licensed product all existing users are entitled to the upgrade at no additional cost, other than some extra training, some of which has been delivered online, whilst some customers decided to have a consultant in for the day and had a bit of a system review whilst we were there, this has enabled them to start using the new sales billing module, but also perhaps bring on some original features which they already had, but perhaps were not using.

The new sales module has been very popular with it’s improved features and interface, so now a QS can easily generate the application for payment to be generated whilst doing a valuation, this can save on delays as they could easily print it out to a pdf and email it directly to the customer.

If you would like more information about the new functionality, or need a demonstration please do get in touch.

Change Nominal Coding Structures in Sage 50 2009

May 20, 2009

Advanced Code Maintenance is now compatible with the Sage 50 2009 range.

Without this, it is not possible to amend or change your nominal codes without losing historical data.  With ACM you can change nominal codes, stock item types, customer and supplier codes whilst retaining full transactional history

For more information please see Advanced Code Maintenance

This can be useful for those who have inherited a Sage 50 package but are unable to generate the reports required, due to the structure of the Chart of Accounts.  Or possibly when you started using Sage 50 and set it up, you simply didn’t know what your future requirements would be.

CIS Fines Review

April 29, 2009

Of 1.7 million late payment penalties (valued at over £170M) since the new CIS was introduced, only £10M has actually been paid!  This apparently is due to the complicated structures in place for issuing and recovering the fines.

The review is likely to make further fines, for non payment of the initial one, applicable after 3, 6 and 9 months, instead of each month.  There are also discussions around the fines being directly related to the sum of tax which has been declared late.

Sage Construct Advanced Summer Update

April 21, 2009

A new release of Sage Construct Advanced is due for release summer 2009.  There have been minor releases recently which included Vista and Sage 50 Accounts and Payroll compatibility, however, the new release has an updated sales module.

While at the moment we do not know all the new functionality which will be available, we understand that one of the major improvements is that in the valuations, it will be much quicker to bill multiple variations, in addition to the main contract, from the same screen.

As soon as we know any more we will let you know.
